स्वामी जी बालेन्दु - सत्य, मान्यता अथवा अंधविश्वास क्या है ?

आज मैं मान्यताओं और अंधविश्वास तथा सत्य और वास्तविकता के ऊपर कुछ लिखना चाहता हूँ | विज्ञान हमें वह वास्तविकता दिखाता है जो साबित करी जा सकती है | परन्तु आप किसी मान्यता और अंधविश्वास को साबित नहीं कर सकते | मान्यताएं समय, स्थान और परिस्तिथी के अनुसार बदलती रहती हैं | कई बार स्थान बदलने पर एक दुसरे से नितांत विपरीत मान्यताएं भी प्रचलन में पायीं जातीं हैं क्यों कि इनका कोई वैज्ञानिक आधार नहीं होता इसीलिये ये वास्तविकता नहीं मान्यताएं हैं |

असल में अंधविश्वास व्यक्ति को मानसिक विश्राम व सुविधा देता है | मनुष्य की प्रवृत्ति ऐसी है कि वो वही विश्वास करना चाहता है जो उसके अनुकूल और सुविधाजनक हो, ये कोई आवश्यक नहीं कि वो सत्य भी हो | वास्तविकता जो कि निश्चित रूप से सत्य है, असुविधाजनक भी हो सकती है | तभी झूठ का अस्तित्व भी है क्यों कि अक्सर लोग झूठ पर विश्वास करते हैं और झूठ पर तो आपको हमेशा अंधविश्वास ही करना पड़ेगा, क्यों कि यदि आँख खोल ली तो आपको पछतावा होगा |

सत्य पर विश्वास करना कोई जरूरी नहीं, सत्य तो सत्य है आप विश्वास करो या न करो | वास्तविकता तो वास्तविकता ही रहेगी आपके विश्वास करने या न करने से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता | प्रत्यक्ष को प्रमाण की आवश्यकता नहीं और सत्य को विश्वास की आवश्यकता नहीं | जैसे कि अग्नि प्रत्यक्ष दिखाई देती है और उसकी सत्यता ये है कि वो जलाती है आप चाहे विश्वास करो या न करो वो तो जलाएगी ही|

अन्धविश्वासी स्वयं पर विश्वास नहीं करते बल्कि हमेशा ऐसा सुना है, लिखा है, पढ़ा है, फलाने ने कहा है या मान्यता है और साथ ही कि हम तो मानते हैं | असल में वो जानते नहीं है बल्कि मानते हैं | सही बात तो ये है कि जिसका अस्तित्व ही नहीं है उसको जाना तो जा ही नहीं सकता, केवल माना जा सकता है, आँख बंद करके मान लो बस, सवाल पूछने का अधिकार नहीं है तुम्हें और यदि सवाल पूछने भी हैं तो केवल मान्यता के बारे में ही पूछना परन्तु शक करने की गुंजाइश नहीं है | धर्म यही तो कहता है कि जो शास्त्रों में लिखा है उसे मानो, जानने की कोशिश मत करो और शक मत करो यदि सवाल भी पूछने हैं तो केवल शास्त्रों से सम्बंधित ही पूछो |

जहाँ भी आपको विश्वास करने का दुराग्रह किया जाये तो सावधान हो जाना और शक भी करना कि कहीं आपकी आँखों पर विश्वास की पट्टी बांधकर धोखा तो नहीं दिया जा रहा, याद रखना धोखा वही देते हैं जिन पर आपने विश्वास किया है | धर्म, ईश्वर, शास्त्र, ज्योतिष, परलोक, अलौकिक चिकित्साएँ, मान्यताएं ये सभी विश्वास का आग्रह करती हैं और वो भी अंधे विश्वास का, शक न करना और उस पर भी तुर्रा ये कि यदि शक किया तो ये काम नहीं करेंगी |

विज्ञान कभी आकर आपसे नहीं कहेगा कि मुझे मानो, वो तो आपको मानना पड़ेगा ही, और कोई दूसरा रास्ता ही नहीं है | एक महत्वपूर्ण बात और भी आपने इन अन्धविश्वासी लोगों से सुनी होगी कि इनके टोने टोटके, मान्यताएं उनपर ही लागू होते हैं जो इनपर विश्वास करते या मानते हैं, सब पर नहीं | देखो कितना अच्छा रास्ता है बच निकलने का, तुम्हारे ऊपर ये लागू नहीं हो रहा या असर नहीं हो रहा क्यों कि तुम मानते नहीं हो | तो फिर झगड़ा ही क्या है मानना छोड़ दो सारी परेशानी खुद ब खुद ख़त्म हो जाएगी |

हम प्रायः देखते हैं कि धार्मिक और नास्तिक हर समय भगवान का अस्तित्व होने अथवा न होने को साबित करने के संघर्ष में लगे हैं | क्या आपने कभी प्रसिद्ध वैज्ञानिकों को किन्हीं तर्कों या इन सब बहसों में पड़ते देखा है ? परमात्मा को आप अपनी इन्द्रियों से नहीं जान सकते | परन्तु दुर्भाग्यवश नास्तिक अपनी सारी ऊर्जा ये साबित करने में ही लगा देते हैं कि भगवान का अस्तित्व नहीं है | कितना ही अच्छा होता कि वो समाज के धरातल पर आकर देखते कि आखिर समस्या क्या है और उनको समझते कि आखिर क्यों चाहिए लोगों को धर्म और भगवान | व्यक्ति धर्म पर विश्वास करता है क्यों कि उसे कुछ चाहिए या किसी समस्या से ग्रस्त हैं अथवा भयभीत हैं | यदि आप यही राग अलापते रहेंगे कि भगवान का कोई अस्तित्व नहीं है इससे उनका क्या भला होगा ? आपको लोगों से जुड़ना होगा और उनकी समस्याओं को समझना पड़ेगा |

धार्मिक लोग आधुनिक बनने के प्रयास में धर्म और विज्ञानं को मिलाने की कोशिश करते हैं क्योंकि धर्म के बिना तो रहा जा सकता है परन्तु विज्ञान के बिना नहीं|

सारे धर्म सत्य को ही स्थापित करने में जुटे हैं और स्वयं को सत्य बता रहे हैं ईश्वर की अवधारना के सहित और रहित कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता | सचाई तो ये है कि एडवोकेसी तो असत्य की होती है सत्य तो सत्य है और जितने धर्म हैं सब एडवोकेसी में ही लगे हैं | परन्तु आग को मानो या न मानो वो तो जलायेगी ही और आग को जान सकते हो तुम मानने की जरूरत नहीं |

I work to support our children charity organization and I believe that this is one of the most wonderful ways to give love to others.

I come from a very strong religious background but I do not consider myself anymore belonging to any religion and I believe the concept of religion is wrong. Maybe many people here would not like my words but I feel in past and present time, religion often had the effect of poison: only killing and dividing people.

That's why I ask why can we not leave all religion and just become Human? I don't want to be Hindu or Muslim or Christian, I just want to be Human. That's what God has created. Human is made by God and religion is made by man. And I believe God is not Hindu nor Muslim nor Christian.

God doesn't have a religion. So why I should be forced to believe in any particular religion? Because of my thoughts for this topic, many religious people may not like me. That's okay, I accept it because I believe my God likes me and doesn't have any religion, just like me.

Instead of devoting myself to religion, I devote my life to help poor children. We run a Charity school providing food and education to those who really need it.

हमारे छोटे से प्रायमरी स्कूल में 150 बच्चे हैं, जिसमें कि सवर्ण और अनुसूचित सभी जाति के बच्चों का अनुपात लगभग बराबर है | सभी बच्चों को युनिफोर्म, भोजन, किताबें, शिक्षा व चिकित्सा पूर्णरूपेण मुफ्त उपलब्ध कराया जाता है | शिक्षकों की तनख्वाह योग्यतानुसार तथा समान स्तर के शहर के अन्य स्कूलों से लगभग 50 % अधिक है तथा शिक्षक भी भोजन आश्रम में ही करते हैं | सन 2007 से स्कूल हमारी प्राइवेट बिल्डिंग में है और स्कूल के सभी क्लास रूम एयर कंडीशंड हैं, और हमको सरकार से किसी भी प्रकार की सहायता प्राप्त नहीं होती है |

स्कूल और बच्चों के खर्च का लगभग 40 % प्रायोजकों के दान से मिलता है और बाकी का 60 % हम अपनी कमाई में से योगदान करते हैं, तथा मैं और मेरा परिवार इस स्कूल के लिए अवैतनिक कार्य भी करते हैं | मेरा और मेरे परिवार की कमाई का साधन वो व्यापार है जो हम यहाँ पर, अपनी यात्राओं में तथा ऑनलाइन वेबसाईट के माध्यम से करते हैं |

हमारे यहाँ बच्चों के प्रवेश की योग्यता केवल उनके परिवार की आर्थिक स्तिथी पर निर्भर करती है, हम उन्हीं बच्चों को प्रवेश देते हैं जिनके माँ बाप प्राइवेट स्कूलों की फीस नहीं दे सकते | अभी पिछले दिनों एक परिवार कार से आया अपने दो बच्चों के प्रवेश के लिए परन्तु हमने उन्हें मना कर दिया और कहा कि आप अपने बच्चों को किसी और स्कूल में दाखिला कराओ क्यों कि हमारे स्कूल में जगह सीमित है और ये गरीबों के लिए है वो प्रवेश देने पर कुछ दान भी देना चाहते थे परन्तु हमने उनको मना कर दिया |

इस वर्ष जो बच्चे कक्षा पांच पास कर के निकले हैं हमने उनके अभिभावकों से कहा कि हम इन बच्चों की आगे की पढ़ाई का पूरा खर्च तब तक देंगे जब तक ये पढ़ना चाहें | इसके लिए जब हमने सरकारी स्कूल जिसमें कि मैं भी पढ़ा हूँ संपर्क किया तो उन्होंने कहा कि जो बच्चे सवर्ण नहीं हैं, उनकी फीस माफ़ हो जाएगी परन्तु जो सवर्ण हैं, उनका खर्चा आपको देना पड़ेगा | मुझे बड़ा अजीब लगा कि इन गरीब सवर्णों का केवल इतना ही दोष है कि ये सवर्ण परिवार में पैदा हुए, परन्तु हम जानते हैं कि उनके परिवार की आर्थिक स्तिथी इस लायक नहीं हैं कि वो अपने बच्चों के लिए किसी अच्छे स्कूल का खर्च वहन कर सकें | खैर फिर हम लोगों ने तय किया कि हम इन बच्चों को अगले महीने से एक दूसरे अच्छे प्राइवेट स्कूल में पढ़ाएंगे और सवर्ण तथा अन्य सभी बच्चों की फीस तथा शिक्षा सम्बन्धी सभी खर्च भी देंगे क्यों कि इस प्राइवेट स्कूल में शिक्षा का स्तर सरकारी स्कूल से कहीं बेहतर है |

मेरी बेटी अभी बहुत छोटी है परन्तु मेरा व मेरी पत्नी का निर्णय है कि हमारी बेटी जब स्कूल जाने लायक हो तो इसी स्कूल में जाये न कि किसी बहुत महंगे इंटरनेशनल स्कूल में |शिक्षा मेरे लिए व्यवसाय नहीं है |

In our small primary school there are 150 children. There is approximately the same amount of lower-caste children as higher-caste children. We provide all children uniforms, food, books, education and health check-ups completely for free. Compared to other schools of the same level in Vrindavan the salary of our teachers, according to their qualification, is about 50% higher. Additionally the teachers also eat at the Ashram. Since 2007 we have our own school in our private building. All rooms are air-conditioned. We don’t receive any financial help from the government.

About 40% of the expenses for school and children are covered by donations of our sponsors and we are thankful to all our friends, sponsors and donors all over the world for their support. The remaining 60% are contributed by our own earning. My family and I work for this school without getting paid. My family’s and my source of income is the business which is done at the Ashram, while travelling or online through our website.

The decision to admit a child in our school depends on the family’s financial situation. We only take in those children whose parents cannot afford to send them to a school with a decent standard of education.

Last week a family came by car to have their son and their daughter admitted at our school. We refused and told them to have their children admitted somewhere else. We have limited place in our school which is reserved for the poor. They even wanted to give a donation in exchange for having their children admitted. We politely told them that this was not an option.

This year some of our children have finished the fifth grade and thus graduated from our school. We told their parents that we would like to support their education as long as they wish to keep on learning. We contacted the government school where I also learned and were told that those of our children who are from lower castes don’t have to pay fees. We would however have to pay the fees of those who are from higher castes. I felt very strange. These children’s only fault is that they were born in a higher caste. We know that their family’s situation is not in a way that they could afford education in a higher school.

Anyway, we then decided that we will send these children to a private school and we will provide fees and expenses for books and more because the standard of education there is simply much better.

My daughter is very small now but my wife and I have decided already that in future, when she will be old enough, we will send her to our own school and not to any expensive, international school.

Education is not a business for me.
