कब तक करूँ प्रतीक्षा! - प्रतीक्षा पाण्डेय

life is easy,
man is busy;
rushing fast,
be first or last.

bitter and tough,
smooth or rough;
from morn till night,
we face the fight.

nothing to fear,
but burden to bear;
we move to goal,
to play our role.

fully exhausted,
yet full of hope;
who is there,
to compete and cope!

जीवन है भीषण संग्राम,
पल भर नहीं मिला आराम;
करना पड़ा अनवरत काम,
लक्ष्य रहा मेरा उद्दाम.

पूरी की सब की ही इच्छा,
कदम-कदम पर दिया परीक्षा;
वार झेलती रही वक्ष पर,
संघर्षों में पायी दीक्षा.

बाहर हलचल, भीतर हलचल,
शान्ति नहीं मिल पायी छिन-पल;
स्नेहिल मन की भूख यही है,
देखूँ, कब तक करूँ प्रतीक्षा!
